Samarinda Islamic Center was mentioned as one of the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. This mosque combines three world-renowned artistic mosques, namely Masjid Nabawi (Medina), the Mosque of Sofia (Turkey) and Masjid Putra Jaya (Malaysia).

Samarinda Islamic Center complex built on approximately 14 hectares of land with total building area reaches 50 thousand m2 and will be equipped with various facilities such as hospitals equipped with an Emergency Unit, kindergarten and elementary school buildings, even a Business Center equipped with a hotel, office complex , as well as shops.


Located in the Village of Karang Asam, Samarinda Ilir, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, this mosque has a main building area of 43 500 square meters. For supporting a building area is 7115 square meters and floor area of 10 235 square meters basement
While the ground floor of the mosque area of 10 270 square meters and the main floor area of 8185 square meters. While mezanin floor area (balcony) is 5290 square meters.
